Adopts a more refined, less rugged apperance
After a series of teasers, Nissan has fully revealed the twelfth generation of the Navara.
Nissan's latest iteration of the Navara pickup truck adopts a more upscale and refined look enhanced by the V-motion front grille with lots of chrome touches. There's also a dynamic character line as well as LED daytime running lights while the turn signals have been incorporated in the door mirrors. Fresh body paint choices include Savannah Yellow and The Earth Bronze combined with black B-pillars and chrome exterior mirrors.
The interior cabin has received a complete makeover with better materials and aluminum-like touches on the dashboard. The high-resolution TFT display in the instrument cluster provides access to compass and turn-by-turn navigation support, radio content, audio track and a fuel economy indicator.
The 2015 Nissan NP300 Navara features a reworked high-strength chassis together with an updated leaf suspension which have been engineered "to take punishment of intense daily usage." The turning circle has been reduced which should make the pickup more maneuverable around city streets.
Motorization is provided by a reworked 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter DOHC diesel engine offered in two states of tune: 163 PS (120 kW) and 403 Nm (297 lb-ft) as well as 190 PS (140 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). This updated engine manages to be up to 11 percent more economical than the previous generation. Nissan is also offering a revised inline-four 2.5-liter gasoline engine and both of them work with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
The 4x4 mode can be activated while driving and is backed by a variety of assistance systems such as Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist and Active Brake Limited Slip.
