Unlike much of the B-segment, Volkswagen's Polo doesn't really have anything special or appealing to the 'lifestyle' person. Though the Touran is a step forward into the people moving division, and the Touareg is VW's first step into the SUV business, the spotlight was really never put on one of VW's most crucial automobiles in terms of pure sales numbers. Surely inspired by the likes of the Ford Fusion, Sc�nic RX4 and the new Streetwise, Volkswagen has served up the Polo Fun specifically catered to that division, but this isn't the only addition that the Polo range has received.
Based upon the five door hatchback (because you know, it's more convenient that way) much of the Polo Fun's modifications are done on a purely aesthetic level. Chunky looking silver roof racks are mounted above, while gray body cladding around the wheel wells and tougher looking front and rear valances. Fog lights, plus a slightly agape mouth with silver trim mark out the front end, while the rear end features inset rectangular exhaust pipes plus more silver trim to echo the front.
On top of these changes, the suspension is raised by 20 mm for extra ground clearance. Working in ways similar to that of the Freelander Sport - a vehicle that will never be taken off road - the Fun rides on 40 aspect high performance tires, which ride on 17 inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the Polo Fun gets sporty seats and new trim materials to match its rather outdoorsy exterior. This car can be had with one of four gasoline engines, the highlight being the FSI direct-injection models. On the other hand, two diesels of 75 and 100 horsepower will be offered.
The other new addition to the Polo range as mentioned, has actually been around since about this time last year - but not in Europe. The Polo Sedan is exactly what its name suggests - a three-box Polo with a trunk. There are a few changes to the overall structure, including 28 centimeter stretch plus a slightly different rear window. The results are plain and simple - extra leg room and 432 liters of cargo capacity. Both these Polos will be displayed at the IAA this year, and should both be on sale some time this fall.

nici mie nu mi se pare reusit deloc designul. cam fara o idee de baza.

Am vazut un Polo Sedan, fara facelift. Nu stiam ca se importa la noi. Arata binisor, desi spatele e cam adaugat in stilul celui de la Clio Symbol, Albea sau Accent par mai reusite din puctul asta de vedere.

pai culmea, accent si altea nu vin derivate din hatchbackuri mici asa precum Clio & Polo
