Pai, ca dimensiuni a crescut putin, pana la 3.75m. Pretul ca creste si el un pic, probabil nu foarte mult, dac inca mai vor sa vanda vreun Yaris, dar, oricum, va fi pozitionata exact intre Aygo si Corolla. Un Aygo este 10900DDP, o Corolla aprox. 14000DDP. Deci, Yaris 2 va costa vreo 12000 euro in varianta cu motor de 1000cmc.

Eu asa sper. Si cu un pret rezonabil poate mai scapam de Symboluri si apar mai multe Toyote, fiind sedan, sigur va avea succes in Romania.

Toyota unveils 2007 Yaris T Sport Concept


The Yaris T Sport is a design exercise that points towards a production sporting Yaris that is scheduled to arrive in showrooms during 2007, powered by a new 1.8-litre gas engine. The key reference point for Toyota�s development team was to create a refined sports hatch, compact in size with fun-to-drive qualities to appeal to younger buyers, but also with high equipment levels and comfort appropriate for both day-to-day driving and longer trips. The sports styling is bold, with a black mesh grille at the front that adds emphasis to the deep bumper with integrated fog lights. There is a redesigned bumper at the rear, too, plus deep side skirts and a tail spoiler. The T Sport is fitted with 17-inch wheels for sharper ride and handling, while new-look tail lights, a chromed exhaust pipe and a T Sport badge on the front grille add the finishing sports touches.

Yaris 1.8 SR

I've never really got a handle on Toyota's motorsport strategy.

I mean, it's by far and away the most successful car company in the world, yet when it comes to Formula 1 Toyota's been pretty hopeless. All that money and little to show for it.

But the thing that really confuses me is the lack of sporty cars in the road car range. Renault has Renault Sport, Mercedes has AMG, BMW has the M division...

Toyota? Er, T-Sport anyone?

You spend all that cash on F1, trying to inject a bit of sport into the brand, but a normal punter can't walk into their local Toyota dealer and plump for something to blow the cobwebs away.

Even this new Yaris 1.8 SR doesn't solve the problem. This is the top-of-the-range Yaris now and sort-of replaces the old T-Sport, but it's no hot hatch.

The all-new engine makes it a little bit quicker and there's a few more sporty touches added to the exterior, plus a sports exhaust and lower suspension has been fitted.

But it's no Fiesta ST or Renault Clio 197, because the SR is lacking any sort of fire in the belly.

To be fair to Toyota, it hasn't set out with this intention. Like the Nissan Micra 160 SR, a warm hatch will do and it does reasonably well. But it doesn't solve the mis-match of the F1 program.

Nu stiu cum sa ma explic, dar majoritatea masinilor proaspat lansate mi se par - la prima vizionare - URATE. Inafara de X3 care mi-a placut de prima oara, toate mi se par urate la inceput.

Oricum, ultimile modele de la Coyota au un design cel putin discutabil (sa nu spun de rahat) pt multi. Pacat, pt ca nu erau mijloace de locomotie sau unele chiar masini rele.
Desigur, in perioada urmatoare am putea vedea cum unii injectati ai marcii vor incerca o propaganda virulenta; dar dupa toate scandalurile in care a fost implicata marca Toyota, plus discutabilul "Logan killer", e greu de realizat un curent pozitiv. Intr-o anumita masura pe buna dreptate.
