It's a new iPod speaker system from Jada Toys. Not that the world needed another iPod speaker system, but this one is a whole lot of fun. This one, in fact, comes in the funky shape of a classic Vee-Dub Beetle. The Jada Toys' I-Playaz VW Beetle will sell for $29.99 and is probably the perfect choice for listening to anything from the Fab Four. The Beetle comes in a classic two-tone red over white paint scheme, with chrome spinners, 3.5 mm input/output jacks that double as an aftermarket exhaust system, built-in speakers, "multicolored lights," and an on / off switch. The car actually "moves and shakes to the beat" when your iPod (or other MP3 player) is playing. And there's even a built-in jam to show off your toy while the iPod is recharging.







Above is one of a new series of posters created for MADD Canada by their marketing agency partner, Calder Bateman Communications, to promote the organization's anti-drunk-driving message. It's one of the most effective campaigns we've ever seen. The posters feature one of three vehicles, each of which has a busted-up windshield and leaves long skidmarks in its wake. The cars themselves are intact when the posters are completely flat, but when they're taped up against a static object like the towel dispenser shown, the message becomes abundantly clear.

You see, when you crumple the bottom part of the poster, the car looks like a real wreck. It's a simple, brilliant, and attention-getting way to communicate just how irresponsible and dangerous it is to get behind the wheel after you've been drinking.

BUSTang? Bah! Dutch cops get Spyker C8 police car


While American law enforcement agencies use D.A.R.E. cars like the ridiculous BUSTang for parade duty and public relations, their European counterparts redefine the entire concept of one-upmanship with their special vehicles. In Italy, there's the full-dress Lamborghini Gallardo, while Germany has a TechArt-prepared Porsche 911 Carrera S (photos of both after the jump).
