Un curios se opreşte în spatele unui pescar (se presupune relu, nu-i clar):
- Ei, cum merge? Muşcă sau nu? Aţi prins vreunul?
- Da, adineauri l-am prins pe unul care mă bătea la cap şi l-am aruncat în apă …

Eu nu inteleg cum de nu au pornit avertizoarele sonarelor !
Ma indoiesc ca la o nava ca asta sonarul/sonarele sunt doar consultate vizual.

Se practica destul de des oprirea avertizoarele sonore, atat la radare, cat si la sonare. Cel putin la navele comerciale asa mi'au zis colegii de la punte

The captain and the first officer of the stricken cruise liner Costa Concordia have been detained on suspicion of multiple manslaughter and abandoning the ship while passengers were still in danger.
Three people were killed and 40 are still missing after the vessel ran aground yesterday evening.
Reports say the captain and first officer abandoned the ship at 11.30pm on Friday night, although the last passengers were not taken to safety until 3am the following morning.
The ship, which was carrying more than 4,000 passengers, experienced trouble a few hundred metres from the tiny Tuscan holiday island of Giglio on Friday evening after apparently sailing off course.
There was panic as desperate passengers scrambled to evacuate the stricken vessel as it began to take on water and list to the right, with some opting to jump into the sea.
The three dead were said to be two French passengers and one Peruvian crew member.
An Italian coastguard official, Capt Cosimo Nicastro, said rescue divers were still searching the submerged half of a cruise ship for people who may be trapped "in the belly of the ship".
The first sign that something was wrong on the vessel was a power black-out and large 'boom' noise at around 10.30pm on Friday, according to passengers.
The ship then ran aground off Giglio and a massive coastguard rescue operation involving helicopters and rescue boats was immediately launched.

Posibil sa fi fost si ceva probleme mecanice, insa in cazul asta e inadmisibila balbaiala la care s'a ajuns in cele din urma. Si mai ciudat e ca nu s'a comunicat nimic pe radio ...

The ship was 2.5 miles off route when it struck a rocky sandbar, according to the Italian Coast Guard. Local fishermen say the island coast of Giglio is known for its rocky sea floor.
Gianni Onorato, president of Costa Cruises, expressed "deep sorrow for this terrible tragedy," but said the cruise line was unable to answer all the questions that authorities are now investigating.
"On the basis of the initial evidence — still preliminary — Costa Concordia, under the command of Master Francesco Schettino, was sailing its regularly scheduled itinerary from Civitavecchia to Savona, Italy, when the ship struck a submerged rock," Onorato said in a statement before the announcement of the captain's announcement.

La compania la care's eu numai anul trecut au fost vreo 5-6 accidente legate de esuare. Norocul a fost ca in 2 din cazurile serioase fundul apei era nisipos. Si vorbesc de vapoare de 11400 containere, 365m lungime si 45 latime, deci comparabile cu un pasager. Si nu vrei sa stii in ce vagaune suntem uneori obligati sa intram ...

In cazul de fata, insa, banuiesc ca ultimul citat ar fi cel mai apropiat de adevar si ca apropierea de mal a fost datorita vreunei defectiuni si posibil si a cartografierii incorecte a hartilor (ultima chestie se intampla incredibil de des tinand cont ca ne aflam in 2012, nu 1612)
