The race for a more powerful sedan, or in this case wagon is on! Alfa Romeo have done extensive work on the 156, and it's a reasonably admirable performer. Its 156 GTA has been hailed as the front wheel drive M3, bearing down on the midsize competition with 250 horsepower and a drive that simply can't be beat, but there are some people who feel that the GTA just isn't enough. Having already created the 300 horsepower 156 GTAm concept, Alfa know that extracting the extra juice out of their 3.2 liter V6 powerplant is possible. The GTAm concept is becoming a reality with the addition of the Autodelta name to the Alfa Romeo lineup.

As the S-Line is to Audi, or AMG is to Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo will now feature its own in house tuning division called Autodelta. Their first exercise was to improve the capabilities of the already capable 156 GTA. The way that they've done this is through exterior, interior and engine modifications. Pop the hood and you'll find plenty of carbon fiber trim on the air filter's housing, and atop the clear engine cover. The engine, which is still 3.2 liters in displacement, has been tweaked to produce a full 300 horsepower, an increase of 50 horsepower. To deal with the increase of power, Alfa have beefed up the 156 Autodelta's six-speed manual with its own cooler. Though we don't have any numbers, expect this super sporty version of the 156 to hit 100 km/h in six seconds.



Alfa managed to create an additional 50 horsepower for the 156 Autodelta.


Where Alfa's other 156-based project, the Crosswagon concentrates on creating a quasi-SUV appearance, the Autodelta is all about on-road performance. To help indicate the enhanced performance abilities of this car, Alfa have blistered both front and rear fenders, and extended the spoilers and sills all around the car. The result is a very aggressive looking sports wagon. Housed in the fenders are 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in high performance 225/40 ZR 18 rubber. To prove that the 156 Autodelta is a serious driving machine, Alfa Romeo have also included an adjustable suspension and 330 mm front disc brakes. Also, the interior has been slightly revised with different leather trim. Expect to see more Autodelta tuned vehicles in the near future.

Ar fi bine sa o lase mai moale cu modele d-astea aranjate pe care le cumpara 4400 de oamnei si sa puna mina sa vind masini, cu zecile de mii.
