La utilajele industriale se specifica in clar ... insa la autovehicule nu am vazut in nici o carte tehnica intervalul de revizie dat in ore de functionare. Insa, cu siguranta, calculul este facut la medii orare mult mai mari decat ce se obtine in multe din orasele mari de la noi, deci cine sta cu uleiul 15k km, numai in oras ... sa fie sanatos, ca masina nu prea o sa'i fie la fel :lol:

BMW has unveiled two new turbocharged straight-six engines that it expects to gradually replace V8 engines for most of its customers. It has also launched a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which also promises improved economy.

The 3.0-litre petrol petrol unit is dubbed the TwinPower turbo and is the first BMW unit to combine the familiar Valvetronic variable valve management (although the system has been newly downsized) with high-pressure fuel injection and turbocharging.

Using a single, twin-scroll, turbocharger, the new engine develops 306bhp and 295lb ft of torque, which it can deliver from just 1200rpm and then all the way to 5000rpm. BMW says this kind of torque delivery emulates the feel of a much larger V8 engine.

Despite this, the new petrol engine is good for just 209g/km of Co2 and 26.4mpg. BMW says when this unit is fitted to the new 5-series GT (badged as the 535i) it will hit 62mph in just 6.3 seconds.

The new flagship 3.0-litre turbodiesel (today�s engine is currently fitted to around 150,000 BMWs each year) has also been updated to provide 306bhp (up seven per cent over the current engine) and 442lb ft (up three per cent). It also delivers 100.5bhp per litre.

It does this while returning an average 34mpg a remarkable 23 per cent improvement over the current engine.

Extensive changes have been made by BMW including a new 2000 bar piezo injection system, new inlet manifold and a new �variable twin turbo� set-up. There are two turbochargers, one �low pressure� and one �high pressure�, the latter having a variable nozzle turbine activated by an electronic actuator. The speed at which the engine can deliver its torque on driver demand has been improved by an average of 40 per cent.

The engine meets EU5 emissions regulations and is fitted with a maintenance-free particulate filter.

The new eight-speed autobox � which debuted in the BMW 760i � will now be offered on smaller BMW models, replacing the old six-speed unit. Aside from offering a wider spread of ratios, the torque converter is only allowed to slip wastefully at low revs, before locking up above 1200rpm. BMW claims that the 'box can equal the fuel economy efficiency of dual-clutch manual 'boxes.

The Megane range will be the first to be fitted with Renault�s new twin-clutch gearbox technology. The system�s rollout begins from the start of next year.

The six-speed unit, which will be called DCT (Dual Clutch Technology), will initially be mated to Renault�s new 108bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine and will be available on the hatch, estate and Scenic models.

However, unlike most twin-clutch gearboxes, Renault�s system will not be available with steering wheel-mounted paddles or switches.

�When you are talking about a Ferrari it makes sense to have paddles, but not here,� said Christian Steyer, Renault�s development chief for C-segment vehicles. �If the transmission is well focused then the driver will have fun, regardless of paddle shifts. We do not see the point of such a system for our cars.�

Although Steyer conceded that a paddle-shift system would make more sense on cars with more than 200bhp, insiders suggest that Renault has no current plans to introduce the system on its Renaultsport models.

Renault has also confirmed that it will begin the introduction of fuel-saving start-stop technology on its cars in late 2010 or early 2011.

Toyota will launch a hybrid version of its Auris hatchback this autumn, and the car will be built in the UK at the Burnaston factory in Derbyshire.

The Auris Hybrid Synergy Drive will share its petrol-electric drivetrain with the new Prius � so that means it has a 98bhp 1.8-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and an 80bhp electric motor.

But it will cost less, partly because it is a smaller car and partly because it will be less well equipped. The Auris will give Toyota a more direct rival for the Honda Insight, although Toyota�s hybrid system is more sophisticated than its rival�s.

The lower weight and smaller size could make the Auris hybrid Toyota�s cleanest model when it is launched at this autumn�s Frankfurt show, undercutting the new Prius�s 87g/km of CO2.

The hybrid Auris launch will follow the arrival of the new Prius this month, and will in turn be followed by a hybrid RAV4.

The three models are all built on the same platform; they are part of a strategy aimed at boosting Toyota�s annual hybrid sales to a million units. The firm�s wider aim is to base its image on offering models with strong environmental credentials.

Marja record pentru viitorul VW Up!

In goana dupa costuri de productie cat mai mici, constructorii si-au deschis facilitati de productie peste tot in lume, acolo unde costurile pot asigura o rentabilitate maxima. De regula, tarile emergente sunt cele care ofera astfel de costuri, in principal prin mana de lucru foarte ieftina.

Conform revistei Autocar, Volkswagen ar urma sa produca viitorul sau model supermini Up! in India, la un cost de productie de doar 900 de euro. Pretul de vanzare al modelului este asteptat sa fie de circa 9.000 de euro, astfel ca marja obtinuta va fi un record nemaiatins pana acum de alt constructor, in acest segment de piata, sustine Autocar.

Investitia Volkswagen in fabrica din India si costurile de transport vor fi, astfel, amortizate mult mai usor. Cu atat mai mult, cu cat Up! va fi un model fabricat in serie mare - Volkswagen vrea sa-l produca si sub siglele Skoda si SEAT, in versiuni cu 3 si 5 usi sau monovolum si cu motorizari clasice, hibrid sau electrice. Se vorbeste de o productie anuala de 1,4 milioane de unitati! Iar sigla de pe capota si pretul vor fi argumente suficient de puternice incat clientii sa nu mai tina cont de tara de origine a acestui model sau de taxele vamale. sursa
