Mie mi se pare un pic mai ok asta decat cel actual. Din cate vad in pozele din link'urile puse de Forester, la exterior sunt 2 variante. Probabil varianta obisnuita si o varianta "sport", ceva, cea cu fante in exteriorul proiectoarelor.

The nine-speed transmission could represent the end of the battle to add more gears, according to ZF CEO Stefan Sommer.
He described nine speeds as being the “natural limit” taking into account that by adding more gears it will increase complexity and weight that can’t be offset by fuel efficiency gains. In an interview given to Automobilwoche, Sommer said that “there is no hard line, but you have to consider the law of diminishing returns. The question is whether adding even more gears makes sense.”
Three years ago ZF started manufacturing its 8-speed gearbox designed for cars and light trucks powered by longitudinal engines. ZF says that compared to a 6-speed transmission it provides 11 percent improved fuel economy. In 2013 the company will start making a 9-speed gearbox in the United States and they expect sales gains since the Chrysler Group will adopt these gearboxes for high-volume models. This new gearbox will bring a 16 percent increase in fuel efficiency compared to a 6-speed unit.
Despite this "natural limit", in the future we’ll get to see ten-speed gearboxes since Hyundai has already confirmed they are developing one, while GM teamed up with Ford to jointly create 9- and 10-speed automatic transmissions.

Nu inteleg care e point-ul! Avem CVT, aia ar trebui sa poata fi setata pentru minim absolut in ceea ce priveste consumul. N-spe mii de trepte nu fac decat sa tinda catre, dar fara sa atinga performantele CVT-ului la cat ma duce pe mine mintea.

nu am auzit de un CVT care sa rupa, atat la performante cat si la fiabilitate.

la cutia cu 8 viteze pot sa spun ca masina schimba foarte lin, aproape de natural, nu mai smuceste ca la cutiile cu 5 trepte , dar altele in plus nu cred sa fie cu adevarat utile. Inca una ar mai merge, dar dupa aceea personal mi se par prea multe. Cred exact ca tipul din articol ca varianta cu 9 trepte reprezinta optimul din mai multe puncte de vedere. Probabil ca firmele in curs de afirmare, in special cele coreene vor impinge limita tot mai sus doar pentru marketing, asa cum se intampla si cu megapixelii la camerele foto, dar este posibil sa apara cutii din ce in ce mai proaste, nefiabile, tocmai pentru a nu mari pretul lor si a inghesui nshpe trepte de viteza care sa fure ochiul lemurianului bautor de bere si ragaitor de gaze esapamentate

Divided into luxury, leisure and utility segments


Autocar'sNovember issue reveals all 16 Land Rover models.
A week ago we talked about Land Rover’s plans to have 16 models by 2020. In Autocar’slatest issue we get to see them all, divided into three categories: luxury (Range Rover), leisure (Discovery/Freelander) and utility (Defender).
The luxury compartment contains the new Range Rover, upcoming Range Rover Sport and the Evoque with XL, cabrio and baby versions.
In the leisure segment there’s a luxurious version of the Discovery (not confirmed yet), the regular Discovery, along with five- and seven-seater Freelander and a smaller version as well.
As for the utility department, this includes the current Defender, a next-gen model with five seats due in 2016/2017, a LWB base version also due in 2016/2017, a pick-up version that could debut in late 2015 / early 2016, as well as a production version of the DC100 that will have a 100-inch wheelbase.
A recent report is indicating that Land Rover is working on an RS version of the Range Rover Sport.
