Opel has released on their German home page a new video for the hot Astra OPC in addition to pricing and performance specs.
In the video the Astra OPC is looking a bit narcissistic as it ganders at itself in the mirror, but that doesn't stop it from putting out 280 PS (206 kW / 277 bhp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque from its 2.0 liter turbocharged engine which enables it to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
With so much power coming through the front wheels, Opel added a mechanical limited slip differential and High Performance Struts (HiPerStruts) to soak up some of the torque steer. Combined with a FlexRide chassis which features a dedicated Sport- and OPC-drive mode, the Astra OPC should be very competant in its handling abilities.
When the model launches this spring, it will start at 34,250 euro which is the recommended retail price in Germany including VAT. The price includes the following kit as standard: AFL+ adaptive forward lighting, Navi 600 navigation system, Two-zone automatic air conditioning, Park assistant at the rear, 19-inch lightweight alloy OPC wheels, On-board computer with selected performance data, LED rear lamps, Tinted rear windows.
One feature of the Astra OPC which deserves special mention are the new high-performance race seats which incorporate cutting-edge weight-saving material for the first time in a production car. The use of organic injection sheets with composite material reduces weight by 45 percent. The new seat boasts up to 18 different settings and has a lower seating position and enhanced side support.
The new Astra OPC had to pass a 10,000 (6213 mi) kilometer endurance test on the famous Nürburgring race track in Germany which is equivalent to 180,000 (111,846 mi) kilometers in normal circumstances.

recunosc ca dau bine jantele astea mari pe masina, dar parca totusi... ce-i mult, e mult

Acum GTC-ul are la modelul de baza jante de tabla pe 17. Cele mai mici de aliaj sunt pe 18, ajungand pana la 20. Dafuq?!?!inainte erau 17 standard cu 18 optional. ( ma refer la modul general pe hot hatchuri )
Din fericire doar la Opel am observat tendinta asta de a pune jante imense ... nu zic ca nu sunt frumoase, dar cam atat

eu acuma caut gume pentru subaru.
900lei bucata... si sunt doar 215/50/17...
Vezi ca sunt 215/55R17.
Eu am reusit sa o incalt cu Bridgestone Turanza ER300 la 580 bucata, DOT 4011. Made in Mexic, dar pushca mea, tot Bridgestone sunt.
În democraţie, ai dreptul să-l alegi pe cel care o să te folosească aşa cum vrea el.

Si mie imi place multicel ... ma intreb totusi cum se va conduce ... ca nu au prea stralucit pana acum OPC-urile.
seful de proiect a dat un interviu in care a zis ca benchmark-ul pe care l-au studiat e Megane RS Trophy si ca acest nou Astra OPC este mai bun, si va face un timp mai bun pe Nurburgring
